My pledge to you is simple: I will always show up prepared, act with integrity, and focus on solutions to the challenges of living on our beautiful barrier island we all call home.

What I’ll Deliver as Your Councilmember

Three key areas where my experience, leadership, and vision can make the greatest impact.

Integrity and Transparency

  • Adopt a Citywide Ethics Ordinance.

  • Strengthen the Council's Code of Conduct.

  • Advocate for Council town hall meetings to give residents the opportunity to better understand a complicated issue, ask questions, and give feedback.

Commitment to Our Community

  • Protect neighborhoods with strong, enforced rules while enabling businesses and short-term rentals to prosper responsibly.

  • Ensure our Comprehensive Plan and Strategic Plan remain our guideposts, keeping us rooted in our identity as a primarily residential, family-friendly community.

Effective City Government through Proven Leadership

  • Maintain a sustainable budget that reflects fiscal responsibility and resident priorities.

  • The health of our economy is largely dependent on our beaches; I fully support a proactive Beach Management Plan that:

    • Builds and protects our dunes 

    • Supports the rights of property owners to protect their property

  • Support public safety with full staffing, with the goal of restoring Isle of Palms as the safest city in South Carolina.

  • Manage tourism responsibly:

    • Pursue state and federal grants for our beaches and roads.

    • Partner with SCDOT and Mount Pleasant to improve island traffic flow.

    • Partner with Charleston Moves for safe bike lanes pursuant to their own Battery to Beach initiative from the Connector to Breech Inlet and to 41st Avenue. 

    • Support the adoption of a Comprehensive plan for Palm Boulevard from 21st – 41st avenues, with the following caveats:

      • No change to the number of public parking spaces as outlined in the Parking Plan under the 2023 Local Comprehensive Beach Management Plan.
